A banking hub that was targeted in an early hours break-in has said it hopes to open as soon as possible.

Cash Access UK, which operates the hub in High Street, Westbury, said it was still assessing the damage and assisting police with their investigation, with the facility currently closed.

A police cordon remains in place around the banking hub following the incident, which took place on Tuesday, August 25.

A Cash Access UK spokesperson said: "We are aware of an incident which took place at our Westbury Banking Hub last night and we are now assisting the police with their investigations.

"The banking hub is currently closed while investigations continue and we hope to reopen as soon as possible.

"In the meantime, you can use the LINK Cash Locator tool to find cash services available locally.

"If you have an urgent banking matter, please contact your bank directly.

"We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused."
