A toy shop is offering parents and carers a glass of champagne and hugs as children head off to school.
My Small World, the toy shop located at SouthGate Bath, is opening early for several ‘Champagne & Tissues’ sessions for parents and carers sending their children off to school for the first time this September.
The award-winning retailer is offering a shoulder to lean on for those feeling emotional on their little ones’ first day, supplying a glass of bubbles or non-alcoholic alternative and plenty of tissues.
My Small World said once people have dropped their child off at school, they can head straight to the store where members of staff will be on hand with “humungous hugs”.
The shop is also handing out goodie bags for the new students to come home to after their first day.
The meetups will be running on three mornings from 9.15am and three afternoons from 1.15pm with activities on offer for younger siblings who often feel the big shift.
Sessions will be held on Thursday, September 3, Friday, September 4 and Monday. September 7.
