Two entrepreneurs have made it to the national stage.
Nicola Davis and Jemma Houkes-Drewitt from Trowbridge competed in the National Market Traders Federation Young Traders Market final in Stratford-upon-Avon in August.
They were among 90 finalists selected from 1,000 young traders across the country.
Nicola Davis, an artist, showcased her mental health-inspired textile artwork, including silk paintings, batiks, and silk scarves.
Book-lover Jemma Houkes-Drewitt presented her literary-themed gifts, such as miniature book earrings, bookmarks, tote bags, and stickers.
Both entrepreneurs said they were proud to represent Trowbridge at the national event, which was their last chance to compete due to the scheme’s upper age limit of 30.
Ms Davis, who began her business at 17, said: "It’s bittersweet that this was my last time competing.
"I’ve made it to the national final four times and even gained ‘Highly Commended’ in the final last year.
"It’s always such an inspiring event, being surrounded by so much young talent, but I’m also so excited for what the future brings, especially now that I have a solo art exhibition touring Wiltshire."
Ms Houkes-Drewitt, known for her strong online following, said: "This was my fourth time reaching the national final, and knowing it would also be my last made it feel especially meaningful.
"The Young Traders Market has been such a positive part of my business journey and has given me the chance to meet so many talented traders along the way.
"I’ll be leaving with lots of good memories, new friendships, and a real sense of how far I’ve come."
Their success highlights the talent and ambition emerging from Trowbridge’s business community.
