A sold-out crowd enjoyed a night of rising talent at Trowbridge’s Teen Open Mic Night.

Held at the Old Town Hall, the event was organised by Oliver Clark and Stanley Jenkins. Both are members of the Trowbridge Town Hall Youth Board.

Mr Clark said: "We wanted to help increase the range of events on offer for teenagers, and we thought an open mic night would be a great way to bring young people together to perform, enjoy live music and have a good time."

Sixteen young performers took to the stage, each bringing their own style, confidence and talent.

The event, which took place on August 26, was described as relaxed and welcoming, with Mr Clark and Mr Jenkins hosting the night and performing two songs of their own.

More than 70 people attended, filling the venue and creating a supportive atmosphere.

Mr Clark and Mr Jenkins thanked the performers, the audience and the Old Town Hall staff, with a special mention for Dominic on sound.

The night was such a success that the organisers hope to make it a regular event.
