Changes are being made to a prominent business premises in the town centre as it looks set to welcome a new restaurant.
As previously reported, the site that was formerly the home of Grounded on Bath Road in Chippenham is being transformed.
The premises has now been gutted, with a skip installed outside the branch, and piles of furniture sitting in the patio area.
Photos taken on Wednesday, September 2 show the extent of items standing outside the premises, as well as scaffolding erected on the front of the building.
The sign that has been plastered over the building advertising the opening of Stran, a Turkish restaurant, remains in place.
Grounded remained closed during its normal opening hours earlier in the summer, with multiple residents saying it has been shut since the start of July.
The poster promises that the venue will be “opening soon” and serving authentic Turkish cuisine that is “made with passion, served with love.”
The planned conversion of the Chippenham branch comes after The Express reported that the Grounded brand appeared to have shut all its cafes at the end of June, without notifying customers.
