A squash shaped like a swan was among the eye-catching exhibits at a popular produce show which returned on the weekend.
The Bradford on Avon Flower and Produce Show 2026 was held at St Margaret’s Hall on Saturday (September 5), showcasing everything from prize-winning vegetables and flowers to homemade cakes, bread, preserves, crafts and photography.
Among the successful exhibitors was Neville Day, who scooped a number of classes with his fascinating vegetable collections, including an award-winning cabbage.
Show co-ordinator Nichola Reynolds took a close look at the winning cabbage, while fellow co-ordinator John Potter inspected the unusual squash which had been carefully grown into the shape of a swan.
The event featured around 100 classes, with categories designed to appeal to experienced exhibitors and those entering for the very first time.
This year’s show was particularly significant for the venue, with St Margaret’s Hall having reopened following months of renovation work after it being damaged by flooding last winter.
Visitors took the opportunity to look closely at the impressive produce, cake and bread entries while also enjoying refreshments.
The show continues to provide a chance for local growers, bakers, gardeners and craftspeople to showcase their skills and compete for prizes.
