Police take drastic action in search for missing Devizes woman

Update: Since this story was published police have found Marcia safe and well.

Police are urging residents in a Wiltshire market town to check their gardens, garages and outbuildings as they continue searching for a missing woman.

Marcia, 52, was last seen at around 8.15am on Friday, September 11, at Kingsmanor Wharf in Devizes.

She is described as approximately 5ft 10in tall and slim, with blonde hair.

Police believe she may be wearing dark navy or black leggings and a stripey top.

An initial public appeal to try and find Marcia was launched by police on Friday, but she remains missing 24 hours later.

Officers are continuing to search for Marcia and are asking residents in the area to check sheds, garages, outbuildings and gardens in case she has entered one.

Anyone who has seen Marcia or knows where she may be is urged to contact police on 101.

In an emergency, call 999 and quote log number 77 of September 11.
