Police hunt for missing flock of lambs in Wiltshire

A flock of dozens of lambs has been stolen from a Wiltshire farm, sparking a police hunt.

According to police, 40 North Country Mule lambs were stolen from fields near Norrington Farm in Berwick St John, near Shaftesbury, between July 5 and August 31.

Wiltshire Police have urged anyone who has any information about the theft of the animals, or who may have witnessed the incident, to get in touch.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: "We are investigating the theft of 40 lambs from fields in Berwick St John and are appealing for public information.

"The theft of the 40 North Country Mule lambs is believed to have taken place sometime between July 5 and August 31.

"The lambs were stolen from fields above Norrington Farm, Berwick St John, alongside Old Shaftesbury Drove which is an open exposed hillside, heavily walked and driven.

"We would like to hear from anyone who may have information regarding the theft of these animals, any witnesses to them being stolen or any recent sightings of the flock.
