A woman in her 70s has been left with life threatening injuries after a crash involving a van on a major A-road.
Emergency services were called to the A350 near Lacock at around 8.45am today following a collision between a pedestrian and a van.
The woman was taken to hospital for treatment.
Wiltshire Police said the driver of the van, a 39-year-old man, has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving and causing serious injury by careless driving.
He remains in police custody for questioning.

The A350 is closed while officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Team carry out enquiries at the scene.
Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone who may have dash cam footage of the collision to come forward.
