A man in his 50s has died after emergency services were called to an incident in Wiltshire.

The South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) was called to Trowbridge at 6.51pm on Wednesday, September 30, and dispatched a significant emergency response.

A spokesperson for SWASFT said: "We were called at 6.51pm on Wednesday, September 30, to an incident in Trowbridge.

"We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, two air ambulances, and an operations officer to the scene."

Wiltshire Police later confirmed a man in his 50s died suddenly during the incident.

The circumstances surrounding the death have not been disclosed.

The coroner will now be informed of the death and a file prepared.



Emergency services were seen attending the incident on Wednesday evening, including ambulance crews and air ambulance teams.

Police have stressed that the death is not being treated as suspicious, and there is no indication of any wider risk to the public.

No further details have been released at this stage.

A force spokesperson said: "This relates to the sudden death of a man in his 50s. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
