A hotel in Wiltshire has been recognised by the MICHELIN Guide just weeks after welcoming a new general manager.

Timbrell's Yard in Bradford on Avon has been included in the MICHELIN Guide 2026 hotel selection, with inspectors praising the character of the Grade II-listed former dye mill, its Scandinavian-inspired bedrooms and its setting on the banks of the River Avon.

The recognition comes shortly after Abi Ryder took over as general manager in September, having previously led sister hotel The Grosvenor Arms in Shaftesbury.

Timbrell's Yard is part of the Stay Original Company portfolio, which operates hotels and hospitality venues across the South West.

The riverside venue offers 17 individually designed bedrooms, alongside a bar, restaurant and outdoor terrace.

Abi said: "What a way to start! I knew Timbrell's Yard was a special place before I arrived, but to have it recognised by the MICHELIN Guide is fantastic.

"Timbrell's Yard has that rare combination of being somewhere beautiful and special, while still feeling completely relaxed.

“Whether someone is staying for the weekend, coming for dinner or just dropping in for a drink, we want them to feel at home.

"I'm delighted to be here in Bradford on Avon. There's a lot more to come, but this is a pretty brilliant way to begin."

The MICHELIN Guide described the hotel as a notable addition to its 2026 selection, highlighting both the building's history and its location in the heart of the town.

The accolade marks an early success for Ms Ryder she begins her tenure at the hotel.
