Customers visiting the new British Heart Foundation furniture and electrical store in Trowbridge were greeted by the sound of music and friendly staff.
The shop opened its doors othis morning in the former Woolworths building in Fore Street, and welcomed more than 500 customers during the course of the day, looking for bargains.
Lisa Kelland, area manager for the British Heart Foundation Furniture and Electricals in the south, said: “I am hoping it will continue to be this busy from now on.
“I think customers can’t believe how clean and how much like any other retail store it is when they had an image of what a charity shop would be like.
“We offer people free collection of their goods within 48 hours, if they have anything they would like to donate to the shop for charity.
“I haven’t heard anything negative said about the store today.”
Anyone who wants to donate to the store should call 08442 489142 or book online at bhf.org.uk/collection
