Fire crews tackled a severe house blaze in Trowbridge last night.
Fireighters were called to an empty semi-detached house in Hoopers Pool, Southwick, at 8.15pm.
A Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Upon arrival the initial crews were faced with a severe fire affecting all rooms.
"Due to the intensity of the fire it was not possible for crews to enter the property and fire fighting actions were carried out externally, using defensive tactics.

Firefighters from Trowbridge and Westbury along with specialist appliances from Devizes and Melksham were at the scene.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used three hose reels and a main jet to bring the fire under control.
A total of three pumping appliances from were used during the incident.
The cause of the fire is not yet known and further investigations are likely to take place over the next few days.
