DRAMA students at a school in Westbury will be aided by an Olivier Award nominee who is coming to visit next week.

Mark McGann, who is originally from Liverpool but now lives in Frome, will be visiting Matravers School in Springfield Road, Westbury.

Mcgann, whose brothers, Joe, Paul and Stephen, are also actors, will be working with year eleven pupils who are putting on a performance of the play Cars.

The 49-year-old, whose brother Paul is most famous for his portrayal of I in cult classic Withnail and I, first appeared on stage in 1981 in the production Lennon.

In the play he portrayed John Lennon, a role which won him the first of his two Olivier Award nominations for best actor in a West End show.

His second nomination came as musical director and principal actor in the musical Up On The Roof.
