Today, 11/11/11, and tomorrow are the only two days authorised by Bradford Town Council for poppy sellers to be let loose on the streets of the town.
Those volunteers, who stand out in all weathers to support this worthy cause, are left to collect a few shillings from those have who either lost or forgotten to wear their poppies.
MPs and TV companies are displaying theirs before the end of October, so why not the public?
If you feel strongly enough about the issue, please let your feelings known to the Town Council.
Gareth Jones, Abbey Mill, Church Street, Bradford on Avon.
