Three Wiltshire schools have received the coveted Artsmark award from Arts Council England.
Stonar School, near Atw-orth, Dilton Marsh Primary School, near Westbury, and Dauntsey’s Primary School, near Devizes, were among 194 schools and educational establishments in the South West to make the grade.
Artsmark is the national programme that enables schools and further education colleges to celebrate, strengthen and evaluate the arts activities they provide.
By achieving Artsmark, a school shows its commitment to providing a high quality arts and cultural facility.
At Dilton Marsh Primary School, the Queen’s Jubilee inspired a programme of arts projects, including mosaics and national anthems.
Stonar School highlights have included Year 7 and 8 pupils designing stamps to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the school’s Chamber Choir performing in the Melksham Musical Festival.
