MORE than 90 passengers are booked to embark at Bradford on Avon and Westbury on Sunday for a sold out steam locomotive ride from Bristol to Dartmouth.

The first passengers will greet the English Riviera Express when it pulls into Bradford on Avon railway station at around 8.20am.

The classic steam trip has been organised by Saphos Trains and the carriages will be pulled by the 46100 Royal Scot built in 1927.

The trip to Dartmouth leaves Bristol Temple Meads and calls at Bath Spa, Bradford on Avon, Westbury, Frome and Taunton. It is fully booked.

Another English Riviera Express excursion calls at Bradford on Avon and Westbury on Sunday, June 27 and is also fully booked.

The Royal Scot is pictured tackling Upton Scudamore bank on Wednesday during a trip from Wolverhampton to Portsmouth.

The steam locomotive replaced a diesel engined train at Bristol Temple Meads and ran via Trowbridge and Westbury.
