AN 80-year-old pensioner from Bratton has been sent for trial at Salisbury Crown Court on Friday, July 9.

Wilfred John Drewett, of Lower Road, Bratton, has pleaded not guilty to four charges of criminal damage, one charge of harassment and one charge of sexual assault on a woman.

He is alleged to have caused criminal damage to a driveway belonging to another Bratton resident in four separate incidents on April 29, May 4, May 18 and June 2 last year.

Mr Drewett is also charged with harassing the owner of the driveway by repeatedly intimidating her by staring at her in her garden while sitting on a bench on November 22 and December 8 2020.

He is further charged with committing a sexual assault on a woman on September 17, 2018 at Bratton.

Mr Drewett appeared at Salisbury Magistrates Court on June 11. The magistrates directed trial by jury. He was released on unconditional bail.
