STAFF at Tesco Express in Warminster were proud to present a cheque to two causes close to their hearts.

Over the year the store have been raising money for Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Warminster Scouts by holding many in store fundraisers, such as non uniform days, staff donations and collections.

One member of staff at the store relied on the Wiltshire Air Ambulance herself when she had an accident home, which is what inspired them to raise a total of £600.

Another staff member who lost his wife looked after the Warminster Scout Group, to which a £200 cheque was presented.

Anthea Scarth, store manager at Tesco Express Warminster said: "We try to raise money for a charity every year, but we try and keep it local to Warminster and our community.

"Both of these charities mean a lot to us and we are so pleased to of been able to help them.

"We are excited to start our next year's fundraising."

Next year, staff at the store will be taking part in a charity skydive to raise money for Louie's S.M.I.L.E.S, a charity in memory of Louis who died of cancer in 2012 aged 10.

The charity supplies toys, books and gifts to local hospital children's wards.
