HOME-MADE Christmas cards with a Trowbridge theme have been made by a local man to raise funds for Wiltshire Mind.

Kevin Hartley was approached by Mayor Deborah Halik to come up with a festive card that looked at focal points in the county town.

After finding some old photos he took of the town draped in snow, he got them printed and they are now on sale at Trowbridge Information Centre in St Stephen's Place for 80p or £3.50 for five.

"I am really happy with how it has turned out. I take photos for the mayor and when she approached me about doing it, I was really keen to help and do all I could for Wiltshire Mind," he said.

"Hopefully we can sell a lot of the cards as the funds will go to a really good cause.

"I was looking at focal points in the town and when I came across ones from when it snowed about eight years ago, I thought that was the perfect choice."

Cllr Halik said: "Kevin has done a really great job. All the profit goes to my chosen charity, Wiltshire Mind. The aim is to promote the town and raise money for a good cause."

Wiltshire Mind is a mental health charity.
