RANDOM acts of kindness can be hard to come by but that was fully on show when an off duty bus driver helped ferry people from Bradford on Avon to Trowbridge to save them trekking through the snow.

On Thursday night, Mark Garland was driving in his bus, which was out of service, towards Trowbridge, he saw a couple of people trudging through the snow from Bradford on Avon.

He then pulled over and offered them a lift as all bus services had been cancelled.

After picking up two people by the sie of the road, he then saw another couple 100 yards up the road and they got on too.

Mr Garland said: “It was cold and the pavement was deep in snow so it was the least I could do.”

As a result of this, hundreds took to Spotted in Trowbridge to praise Mr Garland for his kindness.
