Two current companies at the Woodland industrial estate in Westbury have expanded to take more space.

Topdrill, who specialise in site investigations and geotechnical services, and The Paper Bag Company, who supply a variety of plain and printed promotional bags to retailers throughout the UK, only moved in to their new premises, on Eden Vale Road, Westbury, earlier this year.

The company who own the site, HPH Commercial Property, have assisted with the growth of the two occupiers into additional units to supplement their existing space.

Topdrill have moved into two new units, equalling 3,850 sq. ft. with The Paper Bag Company taking an additional unit of 2,500 sq. ft. for storage.

Chris Pow, Managing Director at Topdrill said: “Despite having the previous unit for less than a year our continued expansion meant that we soon ran out of space.

“We were looking at alternative units and off-site storage options as we were happy on the estate and didn’t want the upheaval of moving again so when we found out that the adjacent site had been acquired and was under renovation it was just perfect.

“We spoke to HPH and negotiated a move that gave us the space we needed and a move literally across the road. Now we have enough space for at least the next three to four years and even an office.”

Jon Marling, Managing Director of The Paper Bag Company, said: “As the UK’s leading paper bag supplier, we are continuing to thrive here at the Woodland Industrial Estate. We moved here less than a year ago and continued demand for our products has meant that we have needed to take additional space to allow us to fulfil more orders.

“HPH has been fantastic in supporting our smooth expansion into a second unit on the site. We are very pleased to have been able to grow our business here in the South West, and we look forward to staying here for years to come.”

Lindsay Holdoway, Managing Director of HPH Commercial Property said: “We always aim to work with our tenants and we are very pleased that both Topdrill and The Paper Bag Company have seen their businesses expand following their move to the Woodland Industrial Estate over the past year.

“Our acquisition of the adjacent site has provided us with more options and greater range of accommodation and that project is now nearing completion with only one of the 11 units available. The ideal scenario for us is to be able to respond to the requirements of our existing tenants enabling them to match their property needs with their short and medium-term business plans.

“Both Topdrill and The Paper Bag Company are very well-run local businesses providing local employment and our team at HPH are looking forward to supporting both as their businesses develop.”
