CHIPPENHAM Town have made immediate moves to secure the spine of their Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division title-winning team by wrapping up the futures of six players.

The Bleubirds, who romped to title victory last month, have agreed terms with the sextet of veteran striker Andy Sandell, skipper Greg Tindle, defender Will Richards, midfielders Alex Ferguson and Matt Smith and striker David Pratt ahead of their National League South campaign next season.

The news is a significant boost to boss Mark Collier as he sets about plotting Town's elevation to the higher level, with the retention of Sandell and Pratt a particular boost.

The duo bagged 49 goals between them as the Bluebirds stormed to title glory by 11 points.

The remainder of the Hardenhuish Park squad is expected to meet with Collier within the next 10 days, while the manager is continuing his recruitment drive with a list of summer targets.
