NEWLY-PROMOTED Calne Eagles ground out a third league win after coming from behind twice against Warminster Town Reserves.

Warminster totally dominated the first 10 minutes and took a deserved lead through Tom Martin, Mickey Taraskevics' fifth goal of the season levelled matters.

A second for Tom Martin saw Warminster reclaim the lead, but Eagles levelled through Karl Sharratt who then won it for Eagles with a late winner, which was his 50th Eagles goal.

A 7-1 triumph for Freshford United at home to Westbury United Development moved Chris Birleson’s side onto 15 points and a share of the number one spot with Melksham Town A.

Waleed Bakali's opener for Freshford from a Dave Percival assist was cancelled out by a Brandon Thompson thunderbolt which levelled matters at the break.

Nick Ross, an excellent individual effort from Percival and another Percival goal from a Bakali assist made it 4-1.

Percival turned provider for Joe Newman and Nathan Gant lashed home a 35 yarder for 6-1 before Percival claimed his third assist of the game, beating three players and setting up Bakali for his second and Freshford’s seventh.

Defending champions Melksham Town A have won four on the spin and now lead the table on goal difference from Freshford United, following their 7-2 success over Trowbridge Town Reserves.

Paul Gittens and Jordan Kirk were on target for Melksham in a first half that saw Dexter Chipeni bag his first-ever Town goal.

Gittens struck twice after the break to complete a perfect hat-trick for Melksham and make it 4-1.

A second goal for Chipeni gave Trowbridge hope, however it was just a consolation as a second for Kirk and a goal each for Sean Fordham and Cameron Thomas made up Melksham’s seven.
