CALNE United were unable to maintain their unbeaten start to their Division Two campaign as they suffered a surprise 5-4 defeat at The Foresters Arms.

In what was a thrilling contest, Matt Fenn scored a hat-trick and Sorin Cosmin once for Calne, but they were not enough as Sean Horobin, Will Thomson on his debut, Nathan Drew, Charlie Jones and Liam Sunderland won it for Foresters.

North Star Club claimed a share of the number one spot with Box Rovers who were in Knockout Cup action, their 6-0 win over FC Libby seeing them heap more misery on the Melksham based side who remain rooted to the foot of the table.

Tom King scored the first of the Star’s six goals to put them 2-0 up at the interval.

Jake Gleed made it 3-0 and Michael McKeller added number four before Gleed claimed his second of the morning.

Shane Minnis completed the scoring.
