A 3-1 VICTORY for Freshford United over Warminster Town Reserves took Chris Birleson’s villagers top of Division One.

With the weather forcing a reversal of venues, Warminster fell behind when Alfie Little headed home following a Dave Percival corner.

Tom Martin got Warminster back on level terms in the second half before Percival scored a superb individual effort and then added a second.

Calne Eagles and Semington Magpies had to settle for a point apiece from their thrilling 3-3 draw at Beversbrook.

Rich Allum (Semington) and Will Gale (Calne) traded first-half goals. Mickey Taraskevics put Calne 2-1 up before Jake Abbott restored parity and then added a second to give Semington a 3-2 lead.

With 10 minutes remaining Barry Forster struck a late equaliser for Roy Wenham’s men.

Westbury United Development remain bottom of the table, however a 4-4 draw at Three Daggers will give them renewed hope of beating the drop.

Westbury led 4-2 at one point, goals from Chris Steele, Ollie Nash and Marc Lanfear seeing them cancel out a Phil Hampson double to lead 3-2 at the break.

A second from Nash put them 4-2 up before Hampson completed his hat-trick to narrow the gap and Wayne Wheeler grabbed the equaliser.

The Trowbridge & District League were guaranteed to have a representative in this season’s semi-finals of the Wiltshire Junior Cup as holders Luxol St Andrews met Hilperton United and secured a 6-0 win.

Mark Reynolds, Tom Rooney’s double, two for Nick Taylor and Jamie Hancock's strike clinched it.
