BUTTERCROSS have been joined at the top of Division Three by Bromham, whose 2-1 victory at Kingfisher means that that the top two sides now have 30 points apiece, Buttercross being top of the pile thanks to a better goal difference.

Sam Wallis scored his eighth goal of the season to give Bromham the lead.

Will Stone drew Kingfisher level with his 17th of the campaign to square things up at the break. With the game heading for a draw, Adam Mercer’s 87th-minute 30-yard thunderbolt sealed Bromham’s win.

With Old Road unable to use their pitch at the Beeches Shaw, thanks to the efforts of Dave Partington - manager of opponents Biddestone - their fixture was switched to Leafy Lane where Old Road ran out 5-2 victors.

Biddestone went ahead when Ryan Pagett scored from a well worked corner with Matthew Poole replying to make it 1-1 at the break.

Old Road went 2-1 ahead through a second from Poole only for Callum Hibbert to level for Biddestone.

Road then pulled away with James Eatough coming off the bench to score a great free kick and Poole adding a further making it 5-2 at the final whistle.

White Hart, playing their first game for nearly a month, came out on top with a 3-2 win at near-neighbours The Mallard.

Jon Moss and Sam Jones scored their first goals of the season as White Hart led 2-1 at the break, with Brett Fairclough scoring for the hosts.

Mark Lazenby fashioned an equaliser for Mallard only to see Chris Gray grab the winner for White Hart with his first goal for the club.
