SWINDON Town’s pre-season fixture against Melksham Town has been moved to Saturday, July 7.

Phil Brown’s men were due to face Kieran Baggs’ side on Tuesday, July 10, at the InfiLED Arena but has now been brought forward three days with a 3pm kick-off.

The kick-off time will be amended to 12.30pm depending on England's World Cup progress.

However the original date has been moved, meaning Town will play their first two pre-season games within four days – the first taking place at Cirencester next Tuesday, July 3.

Fixtures following the opening two pre-season games include a trip to Chippenham to face Mark Collier's National League South squad before hosting Portsmouth and West Brom at the County Ground on successive Saturdays, starting on July 14.

The club will also partake in its traditional pre-season friendly with Swindon Supermarine on Friday, July 27, at the Webbs Wood Stadium.
