DAVE Bromley excelled on his Wiltshire debut as he made a half-century on the opening day of their final Unicorns Championship Western Division match of the season at Marlborough.
Bournemouth University student Bromley, who plays club cricket for Devizes, hit 51 and shared a second-wicket partnership of 98 with captain Ed Young as the home side were dismissed for 211 in their first innings.
Both were victims of Gareth Andrew, who took his tally to 37 wickets in 11 championship innings this season while new ball partner Robbie Shurmer took four wickets on his Oxfordshire debut.
Oxfordshire had reached 96-3 at stumps on day one of three day contest.
