CORSHAM Town were forced to come from behind as they snatched a dramatic equaliser to draw 2-2 with neighbours Chippenham Park on Tuesday night.

The hosts took the initiative in the Toolstation League First Division clash as Joe Sharples watched his side take a 2-0 lead at Hardenhuish Park.

Alfie Pressley and Christian Koffi netted, leaving them with 20 minutes to hold on for the victory.

However, they were unable to do so as Mark Dolman struck to cut the deficit, before Ben Wickens popped up in the final minute to snatch a point for the visitors.

Corsham boss Justin Flowers was delighted with the effort from his players to battle back from behind.

He said: “I’m really happy with how the players came back on Tuesday night.

“We are a bit frustrated not to get the win but when you’re 2-0 down with 10 minutes to go, it is a good point.

“Their attitude was brilliant. We shouldn’t have gone one or 2-0 down. We made a mistake and then we feel there was a refereeing mistake, so we felt a bit hard done by.

“We had our first defeat (1-0 to Sherborne) on Saturday so now we have set about going on another little run.

“I think after six games to only have one defeat is a really good start, so now we have to keep it up.”

Corsham now turn their attention to this weekend’s FA Vase second qualifying round tie, as they travel south to Hampshire to face Fareham Town.

“We have a big one at Fareham. It’ll be a tough game but all the lads are pulling together really well,” added Flowers.

“We don’t know too much about them. Obviously, we have looked at what they are doing in the league.

“We feel as long as we turn up we can give them a good game.”

Elsewhere, Warminster Town were emphatic as they defeated Bristol Telephones 7-1 away from home to move up to second in the league.

Braces from George Butler and Jack Miluk in addition to solo efforts from Harry Barnes and Jake Wright, and an own goal handed Warminster the points.
