Lawrence Vigouroux – 5.5

Little could be done about Carlisle’s second and third goals. Conceding four is never the plan, though. McCormick will be waiting patiently.

Sid Nelson – 5

Got stuck in as ever and put his body on the line. Couple of sloppy errors as Wellens stuck with a back three.

Jermaine McGlashan – 5

Made a couple of strong runs down the wing, but his crosses were generally met by nobody in the box. Performance dipped in the second half.

James Dunne – 6.5

One of Town’s bright sparks before he had to dash off the pitch due to a family emergency. Got himself in Wellens’ good books early.

Keshi Anderson – 5

Chased hard and made a few inspired runs. Worked hard, but for little reward.

Steven Alzate – 5

Some poor passes - mix that with his general lack to press forward made for a below-par performance.

Ellis Iandolo – 5.5

Whipped a few good crosses in and caused a few problems for Carlisle.

Elijah Adebayo – 4

Never looked a threat to Carlisle, even during Town’s period of control in the first half. Goal draught continues.

Dion Conroy – 4.5

Can be put to blame for the first goal. Not as inspired as he was against York last week.

Matty Taylor – 5

Looked to adjust well to his new role as a holding midfielder. Couple of sloppy errors led to counter attacks though, which United took full advantage of.

Luke Woolfenden – 4.5

Linked up well with McGlashan in the early stages, quiet second half where United really made their mark though.

SUBS:

Martin Smith – 4.5

Some huge holes in the midfield, and Dunne’s departure signalled a turn in fortunes.

Scott Twine – 6 Committed to the cause, but never looked like threatening by bursting into the box.

Kyle Knoyle – 5 No major impact during his 20 minutes on the pitch.
