Adver Sport assess the performances of the Swindon Town players in today’s 1-0 win away at Cambridge United in League Two.
LUKE MCCORMICK – 8
An excellent response after a shaky previous display and saved Town on a number of occasions with crucial saves.
ROB HUNT – 7
Dependable as ever on the right and got forward well to help out with attacks when required.
DION CONROY (C) – 6.5
Marshalled the back-line well and shut out most United chances, although was drawn into the odd rash challenge. Booked.
ZEKI FRYERS – 7
Slotted into a less familiar role in the heart of defence seamlessly and Town looked solid right across defence.
ELLIS IANDOLO – 8.5
Continues to improve with each game and set up the decisive goal with an excellent run. Continued to impress after that too.
LLOYD ISGROVE – 6
Lively initially and caused United a few scares but not his most impactful game and was withdrawn in the second half. Booked.
DANNY ROSE – 7.5
An excellent array of passes and opened the home side up on occasion. Covers a fair share of ground and helped stifle United attacks too.
ANTHONY GRANT – 7.5
A physical presence in the middle of the pitch. Broke up play nicelt and didn’t allow Cambridge to get any flow going.
KESHI ANDERSON – 6
No time to make an impact on the game after picking up a knock inside 15 minutes and having to limp off.
EOIN DOYLE – 6
A quiet game and not much of a chance of note but occupied defenders nicely and that created space for his strike partner.
JERRY YATES – 8
Was energetic throughout and made good runs. Missed a good chance early on but made up for that with a poacher’s finish for the winner.
Substitutes:
KAIYNE WOOLERY – 7
(For Anderson, 15) Introduced early on and was a good outlet. Ran himself into the ground.
MICHAEL DOUGHTY – 6.5
(For Isgrove, 66) A calming influence in the middle and helped Town get back on the front foot.
ADAM MAY – 6
(For Rose, 72) A longer than usual cameo and will be glad of the minutes.
Subs not used: Steven Benda, Tyler Reid, Taylor Curran, Sidy Sanokho.
