CHIPPENHAM Moonraker Gymnastics members won 12 medals when they attended the South West Quatro Cup in Barnstaple.

In total, 12 Chippenham gymnasts took part, and leading the way was Katie Francis in the FIG Junior class.

She won overall silver, having also taken gold on vault, silvers on bars and beam and bronze on floor, with those efforts qualifying her for the National Challenge Cup.

Competing in the FIG Espoir section, Ellie Treacy won bronze on vault.

In the Level 3 class, Sophie Townsend showed determination in a difficult category to finish sixth on beam and seventh on vault.

Amongst the younger competitors, Danielle Armado got Chippenham off to strong start in the Level 5 nine-years category as she won gold on vault and beam as well as silver on bars for overall bronze.

In the Level 4 11-years section, Millie Stokes won overall bronze to go alongside gold on vault. Leah Bishop won bronze on bars and was fifth overall, with Katherine Allday and Florrie Strange also in action in the class.

Eva Falcony-Healy competed at Level 4 in the 12 & 13-years class and won overall gold to be crowned Level 4 champion. Jemma Vincent claimed gold on beam for eighth overall, while Tamar Hibbert and Emily Macklin-Day also competed.
