CORSHAM Town and Melksham Town both won their respective Wiltshire derbies last weekend.

Kieran Baggs’ Corsham cruised to a comfortable 3-0 victory at home to Royal Wootton Bassett Town in the Hellenic League thanks to a brace from Gary Higdon and a further strike from Chris Allen.

To add insult to injury for Bassett, Alan Griffin saw red which will likely rule him out of the club’s upcoming FA Vase clash against Hamworthy United.

Meanwhile, in Southern League Division One South, Melksham saw off Highworth Town by two goals to nil.

Albie Hopkins and Luke Ballinger netted in the second half at the InfiLED Arena.

Elsewhere in the Hellenic League, Shrivenham were hammered 7-1 at home to Malvern Town last Saturday.

Only a goal down at the break, Shrivvy fell apart in the second 45 as Jonathan Peachey-Score netted.

Bradford Town saw off Roman Glass St George 3-1 thanks to goals from Robert Hobbs, Jacob Brown, and George Box. Neikell Plummer scored for St George - who had Kristian Miller sent off late on.

Westbury United drew 0-0 away at Thornbury United at the weekend.

In midweek, Fairford Town edged past Tuffley Rovers 1-0 thanks to a Connor Jakeways goal from a George Peare cross.

Fairford’s victory made it 10 points from a possible 12 while recording four consecutive clean sheets.

In Western League Division One, Devizes Town lost 2-1 at home to Almondsbury.

Dan Sibley struck for the Nursteed Road outfit, however, Almondsbury took the points courtesy of goals from Alex Cumming and Joe White.

Warminster Town drew 2-2 in a thrilling game at home to Bishops Lydeard.

Eben Mortimer-Taylor scored before being sent off for two yellow cards, while Lewis Graham grabbed the other Warminster goal.

Yet, Bishops Lydeard escaped with a point after goals from Charlie Melvin-Sparks and substitute Oscar Albano.
