FC Chippenham Youth slipped to their first U11 Blue Division defeat of the season against a Warminster team who outplayed them with some great football.
An early goal from Warminster unsettled Chippenham and although they pulled one back through a well-finished move by Christian Frimpong, Warminster forced several fine saves from Chippenham keeper Alex Bowers.
Midway through the second half Warminster took the lead again and Chippenham could not find the crucial goal.
U11 Green Division Devizes Town U11 were minutes away from beating leaders Chippenham Town Youth White, taking the lead three times with a hat-trick from man of the match Jamie Walters.
U11 Red Division Calne A defeated Bromham Youth 4-0, Bromham regretting a handful of missed chances in the first half. Man of the Match was Bromham’s Alex Henrich.
U9 Green Division Castle Combe Colts secured top spot with a hard-fought 2-0 win at Derry Hill.
Matthew West and Luca Cosentino were Combe’s scorers.
