Wiltshire’s U15 team continued to show promise after taking on Somerset and Dorset at John of Gaunt School in Trowbridge.

Against Somerset, the young team managed a 5-5 draw, with Lee Phillips and Ryan Marvell both winning two matches and Sam Neale winning the final match to level the tie.

Dorset proved too strong both for Wiltshire and Somerset and will be favourites to win promotion to the national premier division.

But despite a 9-1 defeat, the Wiltshire youngsters made good progress and 10-year-old girls Jessamy Edwards and Jemma Stratton gained valuable experience.

Wiltshire’s final four fixtures will be on April 10 next year in Totton.
