TROWBRIDGE cueman Stephen Lee claimed the third Players Tour Championship title of his career with victory in the second Asian PTC event in China this morning.

Lee, who has moved up one place in snooker’s world rankings to seventh overall, whitewashed home favourite Ding Junhui 4-0 in the final in Yixing City.

After winning a tight opening frame on the black, Lee pulled away to win the next three comfortably with top break of 97.

The Wiltshire player, 37, clinched a cheque of £10,000 and 2000 ranking points He is now guaranteed a place in the PTC Grand Finals in March – an event he won last year.
