SCRUM-HALF Kahn Fotuali’i has extended his stay with Bath Rugby, it was announced tonight.

Samoa international Fotuali’i, who joined Bath at the start of the 2016/17 campaign, was named Best Back and Supporters’ Player of the Year at the end of season awards.

Fotuali’i said: “I’m really happy to have extended my stay at Bath – I’m really enjoying my rugby and as a team, we have made good progress over the last 12 months.

"There is real ambition and a hunger to win silverware here, and that is really exciting to be a part of.

"We’ve got some world-class international talent in the squad, combined with some exciting youngsters like Zach Mercer and Josh Bayliss, who I’m sure will follow them onto the international scene over the next few years and I’m looking forward to working with them.”

Director of Rugby Todd Blackadder added: “Kahn is an integral part of this squad and a hugely popular figure amongst the club and supporters alike.

"You don’t find many scrum-halves in the same mould as Kahn – he’s not only an exceptional reader of the game, but he’s not afraid to get stuck in at the breakdown or in defence, and that makes him a huge asset for us."
