WARMINSTER Town climbed out of the bottom three in the Toolstation League First Division table with a gutsy 3-1 victory at home to Chard Town last Saturday.

Eben Mortimer-Taylor gave Mark Breffit’s men the lead at Weymouth Street but Chard drew level at the break through Jack Dicker’s strike.

The hosts rallied after the restart and Charlie Walton and Mark Young were both on target to ensure all three points stayed in Wiltshire.

Westbury United returned to winning ways with a thumping 5-1 success at Oldland Abbotonians.

Dan Kovacs scored twice in the first half as United held a 2-1 advantage at the change of ends.

The visitors raised the tempo after the break, with Jordan Pinder, Jamie Jordan and Ricky Hulbert all on the scoresheet to fire Westbury up to third spot in the table.

However, Corsham Town were unable to get a game on over the weekend as their Wiltshire derby at Malmesbury Victoria fell victim to the cold weather.
