CHIPPENHAM minis took on local rivals Corsham and came away with every age group winning all their games.
The highlight of the day was the seven tries scored by Chippenham’s William Thompsett in the U8s 11-7 win. The second game saw Chippenham completing the clean sweep 6-3 with a brace of tries each for Henry Hyland and Jack Atkins.
The U9’s saw Chippenham win three hard-fought matches 1-0, 6-0 and 3-0.
Tries were scored by Charlie Parsons, Lewis Carter, William Crowther, James Gilson and Archie Ansell.
In the U10s, Chippenham won 2-1 and 4-0, the U11’s going one better in winning all four games without conceding a try.
The Chippenham U11 squad was too strong for a gallant Corsham, winning 5-0, 10-0, 5-0 and 5-0 with tries from John Lenton-Jinks, Oliver Church, Dan Carter, Liam Newton and Tom Tennent. The U12s prevailed 20-15, centre Jack Utton, scrum-half Tom Douglas and winger Lewis Clarke toucing down.
