CORSHAM U15s showed their mettle as county champions as a below-strength edged out Salisbury 12-10.
The first quarter was quite even but the Corsham pack proved too strong for Salisbury, who had opened the scoring with a penalty, as a break down the wing from Luke Callaghan set up a ruck five metres from the line,.
Callum Harris and Ryan Thompson drove on, Thompson getting the touch down and Joe Knight converting.
Corsham’s second try was a team effort, the ball was secured at the breakdown, by the forwards, allowing the ball to be passed down the Corsham line to Alex Clark.
His grubber kick behind the Salisbury line, allowed Charlie Hewlett to turn on his pace and win the race to touch down.
Corsham U16 were 49-12 winners at Salisbury
