YET another tale of woe re parking in Trowbridge. Recently I parked in the Odeon car park to buy tickets from the cinema, got a free parking ticket, took only about 13 minutes to purchase. In the afternoon visited the Odeon to watch a film.
Knowing I’m unable to park without a parking ticket got one, only to return to find I had a notice on my car windscreen. I had no knowledge that T & C specify “one free ticket a day”. My response to this was a compromise and immediately sent £30.
Now I’ve received a demand for £100 less the £30. All this for parking, in total, for less than three hours. Good earnings for UKPC and for myself, a pensioner, sickening. What action, now, should I take?
