I WOULD like to congratulate the cyclist who made his way up Market Street and Masons Lane in Bradford on Avon at 4pm on November 28, forcing 24 vehicles to follow him up the hill at walking pace. This splendid effort not only surpassed all previous records but also delayed motorists descending the hill.
May I also commend his total disregard for all other road users, which is surely testament to his dedication.
Had he, however, climbed the hill an hour or two later, he could have done even better and totally disrupted the rush hour traffic. Once again sir, my congratulations.
