Carpenters from Aspire Defence have completed renovations of Warminster’s Copheap Lane War Memorial.
The contractors, based at the Warminster Garrison, volunteered carry out the project after its condition worsened.
Susan Thornton, the Garrison’s deputy facility director, said: “It was something that we were happy to help with.”
The craftsmen replaced shingle tiles, replaced the rotten oak supports that held up the roof and completely re-varnished it.
Cllr Paul Batchelor, of Warminster Town Council who helped organise the work, said: “It has been renovated to an incredibly high standard by the guys working on it.”
The 1950 memorial commemorates those that died in the world wars.
