Alan Carr has joked he deserves his own film after voicing a character in The SpongeBob SquarePants film sequel.

The Chatty Man star is to make his Hollywood debut as the British voice of one of Antonio Banderas’ sidekick seagulls in The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out Of Water.

Alan will be joined by Stacey Solomon and YouTube’s Joe Sugg and Caspar Lee, who will also re-voice the seagulls for the UK version of Paramount’s 3D movie.

Toast Of London star Matt Berry will reprise his voice role as space dolphin, Bubbles.

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out Of Water, based on the Nickelodeon TV series, sees the sea-dwelling invertebrate come ashore to the human world for his most super-heroic adventure yet.

It will open in UK cinemas on March 27, with previews on March 21 and 22.
