IN HIS speech on December 28, 2016, John Kerry spelt out the human rights abuses, all contrary to international law, that the Israeli Military occupation inflicts on Palestinians.
The Palestinians called for a non-violent BDS (Boycott of goods: Divestment (from companies profiting from the occupation) and imposition of Sanctions) in 2003, and is I believe the only way Israel will comply with International Law. Forty years of ‘talks’ have only made conditions deteriorate.
There is to be a full debate in the UK parliament on February 9 on the illegal settlement issue, where Palestinian land, olive groves, homes, and water cisterns have been destroyed to enable thousands of housing units and many ‘Israeli only’ roads to be built in the West Bank.
It is key that as many MPs as possible attend and speak out to show their support for a just peace for both peoples and equal rights for all.
I urge your readers to write to your MP asking him/her to attend and speak up to put right one of the gravest injustices the UK, on hindsight, helped to create, and for our government to uphold international law.
