WHETHER you remember the swinging big band sounds, or are a more recent devotee of the jazz and swing style, there’s a treat in store at the Wiltshire Music Centre in Bradford on Avon on Sunday night.
Local players in the Gorgeous Big Horns Big Band, led by musical director Mike Daniels, will recreate music from Buddy Rich’s live album, Swingin’ New Big Band.
Highlights include the West Side Story medley, Oliver Nelson’s arrangement of In A Mellow Tone, and Gershwin’s My Man’s Gone Now.
Tickets are £14, £10 under-18s and students, with accompanied under-10s free, from 01225 860100.
The concert itself starts at 7.30pm but there will be free music in the foyer from 6.45pm.
