Fewer Dorothy House patients will have to travel to Trowbridge and Winsley for care after the opening of new outreach centre opened in Peasedown St John.
The site was opened by volunteer Marjorie Coulthard, who was a volunteer physiotherapist when the hospice was established in 1976 and later became a staff member.
It is intended for people on the south side of Bath, Radstock and Midsomer Norton.
Community and outreach manager Wayne de Leeuw said: “It will also allow people to make several appointments on one day; for example, with their specialist nurse, a physio, family support and lymphoedema.”
The centre, in Roman Way, is open Monday to Friday, from 10am to 4pm.
