Once again the West Ashton Road is being dug up again and this time it is going to be closed for six months, according to the council.

Is this the most dug up road in the whole of Wiltshire? It wouldn’t be so bad if after the road was dug up they left it in a condition that you can drive on, as at the present moment in time it is like a roller coaster ride and how an accident hasn’t happened yet I don’t know.

It is used by ambulances on 999 calls every day and I am surprised that the emergency services have not complained, because at 30mph it is bad so I have no idea what it is like at 50mph.

I have to use this road every day to get to work. It would be nice not to have to go through a diversion to get home.

I sat at the traffic control lights today for 15 minutes whilst a woman blocked the road to get onto her driveway and cars had to reverse to let an ambulance through.

I think that the people living off West Ashton Road should be compensated by Persimmon Homes, who will be making a fortune out of this development and the West Ashton Road will become more of a rat run than it all ready is.
