Firefighters, an ambulance crew and police officers were called to a fire at an address on Silver Street, Trowbridge last night.
Two fire engines from Trowbridge and one from Bradford on Avon were called to the flat at 5.13pm, where a towel had been left on the hob, causing a lot of smoke.
It was feared that someone was trapped inside the flat, but all occupants were fully accounted for when the fire crews arrived.
Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and a hose reel water jet to extinguish the fire, which was out by 6pm.
